Businesses can now recycle cartons!

Cartons are widely recyclable across most parts of the UK. We and the carton industry have invested substantial amounts of time and money in to ensuring that most consumers in the UK can now recycle their cartons. Until now, the infrastructure which we have built has only been available to Local Authorities and community groups for household recycling.

But that has all changed!

We have been building on the infrastructure we use for the Local Authority collections and now businesses can recycle too! To do this, we have worked closely with our contractors to develop a simple system that allows businesses to link directly in to their local contractor to recycle their cartons across many parts of the UK.

So, how do I go about setting up carton recycling for my business?
1. Get a quote
Follow the steps below to get one or more quotes for your collection:

  1. Click on the link to the interactive business recycling map
  2. Find out if your area has a contractor by clicking here on the area of the country your company is based in. (To find out which District Council your business is in, use the website.)
  3. If there is a contractor able to collect cartons from businesses in your area, their name(s) will be displayed on the right hand side of the map.
  4. Click on the contractor(s) name(s) and follow the instructions to contact them for a quote. Please ensure that you provide them with all the required information.

The contractor will then provide you with a quote.

2. Set up collection
If you are happy with the quote, follow the instructions in the quote to set up your collection.

3. The contractor
Once you have set up your collection, the contractor will provide you with everything you need, including appropriate containers and information about the scheme.

4. Any questions?
If you have any questions about how to set up a service or how to recycle cartons from your business, please consult the Frequently Asked Questions page before you contact the contractor. Your questions may already be answered there.

We are proud of the service we have facilitated, please note that this is not a service provided by us. It is provided by the contactors that we use.

What if my area does not have a service yet? We are really excited by the progress so far, there are still a few areas that this service is not yet available to. We are working hard with contractors to collect cartons from businesses in the remaining parts of the country. If there is not a contractor collecting cartons in your area, please contact us. Please make sure you include the name of the district council where your company is based. We will store your information on our database until we have a contractor for your area. We will email you to tell you when we have a contractor to cover your area.
